Karlsplatz and its surroundings, a tour through the fourth district of Vienna!

Together we explore the area around Karlsplatz and the Technical University. We start with a visit to the magnificent St. Charles Church, the last work of the eminent baroque star architect Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. Opulent frescoes in the cupola by the Baroque painter Michael Rottmayr await us inside the wonderful church. Have you ever seen ceiling frescoes up close? An overwhelming experience from a height of 32.5 metres will await you!

Let's continue to the former atelier and house of Hans Makart, hidden behind the University of Technology. Hans Mackart, a celebrity figure, was one of the most influential Austrian artists of the 19th century, having influenced numerous seccessionists, above all Gustav Klimt.

Together we enter hidden backyards, encountering the oldest Gothic secular building in Vienna. We stroll through the narrow streets of the fourth district, crossing the Naschmarkt and ending our tour admiring the Art noveau buildings of the architect Otto Wagner.

Come along, let yourself be surprised!
